American Pharmacists Association and APhA Foundation

From multi-year PR campaigns, to websites and videos, ECI Communications has been working with the American Pharmacists Association and APhA Foundation for more than two decades.

For more than 25 years, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and APhA Foundation have entrusted ECI Communications with everything from multi-year public relations campaigns to websites, brochures, videos and podcasts including, most recently, production of a video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the APhA’s Immunization Program. Two of the most major campaigns we conducted for the APhA Foundation were in conjunction with Project IMPACT: Diabetes, the first national diabetes initiative to bring quality diabetes care to homeless, uninsured, poverty-stricken, underinsured and other patients in 25 underserved communities, conducted by the Foundation with support from the Bristol-Myers-Squibb Foundation; and the Diabetes Ten City Challenge, the first national employer based diabetes self-management program in the country, which was implemented by the Foundation with support from GlaxoSmithKline over a five year period.

For Project IMPACT: Diabetes, we wrote and designed the website; wrote all of the national press kit materials; produced two videos on the interim and final results; conducted extensive national media relations outreach, including producing and distributing two Multimedia News Releases; and served as general counsel for the APhA Foundation team leading the program.  For the Diabetes Ten City Challenge, ECI wrote and designed the DTCC website; developed national and local press kit materials; produced and distributed multimedia news releases and radio news releases; produced three videos; conducted extensive national and local media outreach; wrote and designed “Newsline”, “DTCC at a Glance”, and the DTCC Employer Summit Report; produced a five-minute podcast; and served as the liaison between the 30 DTCC employers, hundreds of participating pharmacists, the APhA Foundation and GSK.
